Faking it

The UK’s only touring tribute festival comes to Kings Heath!

The UK’s only touring tribute festival is coming to King Heath Park for the first time this summer as part of the 2017 Fake Festivals tour. The party starts on Saturday 1st July from midday, with three world-class tribute acts and five local support bands providing the warm up to get you in the party mood.

Michael Ramsay, organiser of Kings Heath Fake Festival, is delighted to be bringing the tour to the area: “When I saw the opportunity to set up and run a festival myself I jumped at the chance, mainly because I know what a great day out they are. I’ve been watching live music at various venues in Kings Heath since the 90’s. It has a rich heritage of bands and live music, so when someone asked where I would hold a Festival, Kings Heath was my first answer.”

“I remember the buzz I had from my first Fake Festival and with the quality of musicians we’ve got lined up, I can’t wait for people to get that feeling too. We have fantastic tributes to Oasis, Blondie and Green Day performing, as well as five local acts. I’d love for it to become an event that people will look forward to every year.”

Speaking about the tour, Fake Festival owner Jez Lee added: “We are very proud to be the UK’s only touring tribute festival, supporting some of the UK’s best tribute acts and local homegrown talent. 2017 also sees some new additions to the tribute line-up. We remain committed to bringing live music into the heart of communities where local people can enjoy a day out in their local park with friends and family for a great day of fun at an affordable cost.”

Tickets are on sale at the Fake Festivals website, www.fakefestivals.co.uk
